Kesineni to helm Andhra Cricket Association

Vijayawada: Telugu Desam MP Kesineni Sivanath, also known as Chinni, was unanimously elected as the president of the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) for the term till 2025. All office bearers were elected without opposition.

The announcement was made by former election officer Nimmagadda Ramesh on Sunday.
Sivanath's first decision as president was to donate Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to assist victims of the recent floods across the state.
Alongside president Sivanath, Sana Satish was chosen as secretary, Venkata Prashant as vice-president, Dandamudi Srinivas as treasurer, and BJP Visakhapatnam North MLA P. Vishnu Kumar Raju as joint secretary and Vishnu Tej as Councillor.
Sivanath, who is the Vijayawada MP, said, "Efforts will be made to hold international cricket matches in the state." He said Visakhapatnam is currently the only venue for such matches and that facilities will be developed in Mangalagiri and Kadapa in accordance to international standards.
He also outlined plans to establish cricket facilities in rural areas. He stated, "The ACA will stand as a support system for all talented cricketers who are unable to get opportunities."
