Kuppam Prepares for CM Chandrababu Naidu’s Homecoming
Official machinery in hyper-active mode for VIP visit
Tirupati: Kuppam constituency witnessed hectic activity to welcome Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on his first visit to his home constituency on Tuesday after assuming the high office for a fourth term.
Officials were burning the midnight oil to spruce up the public places. Dividers along major roads were freshly painted and a link road connecting the Telugu Desam office to the APSRTC bus stand underwent repairs to rid it of bumps. Cement drainage canals were being rapidly constructed, particularly around the NTR statue area, where a public meeting was planned.
Locals were especially enthused as this addresses a long-pending issue of waterlogging in the area during rains.
A higher-capacity transformer was installed near the R&B guesthouse to ensure an uninterrupted power supply. The guesthouse itself has undergone sudden modernisation. It got fresh paint and new furniture.
TD leaders enthusiastically arranged a huge welcome to the CM by erecting welcome banners across the constituency. Security measures have been heightened in anticipation of Naidu’s visit.
Additional police forces have been deployed to Kuppam. Chittoor collector Sumith Kumar and SP Manikanta Chandolu personally oversaw the arrangements.
The Chief Minister's visit begins Tuesday at 12:30 pm when he arrives at the PES Medical College helipad in Kuppam. He would then visit Jalliganipalle and Chinnari Doddi villages and inspect the Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanthi branch canal. At 3 pm, Naidu would address a public meeting at the NTR statue, followed by a meeting with party leaders at the R&B guesthouse at 4:30 pm.
On Wednesday, the CM's schedule begins at 10:30 am. He would receive petitions from the public at the R&B guesthouse. Around noon, he will hold a development review meeting with constituency officials at the Kuppam Government Degree College. The visit would conclude with a meeting with the party cadres at PES Medical College Auditorium at 2:40 pm, before the CM departs for Bengaluru at 4:10 pm.
