Kurnool: Chain snatcher held, gold worth Rs 6.60 lakhs recovered

Kurnool: Police from Kurnool 3rd and 4th Town have arrested a criminal involved in a series of gold chain snatchings targeting solitary women. The accused, whose identity is undisclosed, was caught with approximately 210.75 grams of gold chains valued at around ₹6,60,000 and an unregistered TVS Star City motorcycle. Police teams from both towns collaborated to capture the suspect, who confessed to chain-snatching incidents in their jurisdictions. The criminal is linked to seven cases in Kurnool 3rd Town Police Station and one case in Kurnool 4th Town Police Station. Some of the stolen gold was reportedly pledged at Bank of Baroda, according to Three-town Circle Inspector D. Muralidhar Reddy.
