Sarpanch and YSRCP Leaders Booked Under POCSO Act
Kurnool: Three YSRC leaders, including Kadadoddi village Sarpanch Hussaini, along with two others, Vinod and Suri, have been accused of attempting to rape a young student from the village. Following a complaint lodged by the victim's parents, the police have registered a case under the POCSO Act against the accused.
According to the victim's family, the girl's parents were working in a cotton mill in Karnataka with their son and had left their daughter, a class eight student, in the care of known individuals in the village. Approximately ten days ago, while the girl was asleep at home around 11 pm, Hussaini, along with T. Vinod and Majjiga Suri, allegedly attempted to rape her. The girl’s cries for help prompted the accused to flee after pushing an elderly person who tried to intervene.
A complaint was filed at the Kosigi police station on Tuesday. Sub-inspector Chandramohan has registered a case against the three under the POCSO Act and stated that an investigation is underway.
