Lakshmisha takes charge as new collector of NTR dist

Vijayawada: Dr. G. Lakshmisha assumed office as the new collector of NTR district on Monday, with Vedic chants performed by priests in the collector's chamber at the collectorate premises in Vijayawada.

Before taking charge, Lakshmisha, accompanied by his family, visited the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam (SDMSD) temple atop Indrakeeladri to receive the blessings of Goddess Kanaka Durga.
Speaking on the occasion, Lakshmisha expressed his enthusiasm about assuming the role of district collector of NTR, one of the most significant districts in the state. He thanked Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan for his appointment and committed to working towards the district's overall development with the support of elected representatives and district officials. He further emphasised his dedication to ensuring the effective implementation of welfare and development programs aligned with the state government’s priorities, aiming to make NTR district a leader among all districts.
On the occasion, several officials, including joint collector Dr. Nidhi Meena, assistant collector Subham Nokhwal, DRO Lakshmi Narasimham and Vijayawada RDO Kavuri Chaitanya, congratulated the new collector.
