Kurnool: In Chintakunta village of Duvvur mandal, YSR district, a section of agricultural land unexpectedly caved in on Wednesday, creating a large pit resembling a well and alarming a local farmer. The pit, which has reached a depth of about 6 feet, has caused concern to farmer Manukonda Siva, who owns the land. The land, which has shrunk into a circular depression, has not yet been sown with crops, raising questions about the cause of the collapse.
Siva said a similar incident occurred in 2019 and he had to spend Rs 50,000 on repairs. He is now calling on the authorities to investigate the cause of the collapse and seeking compensation for the damage. The officials have yet to determine the cause of the incident, adding to the growing anxiety among local farmers.
