Visakhapatnam: The members of the legal community staged a protest on Friday outside the district court, denouncing the recent gang rape of a law student and demanding justice for the victim. The demonstration was led by Visakhapatnam Bar Association President Bevara Satyanarayana.

The Bar Association member said that none of its members would represent the accused in bail proceedings. “This heinous crime against a law student is not just unfortunate, but a matter of grave concern,” said Satyanarayana during the protest. “We demand that both the government and police take stringent measures to prevent such atrocities against women.”

Women deserve respect and safety in our society,” he stated. “The Bar Association stands firmly with the victim and her family during this difficult time.”

He emphasized the need for enhanced protection of women in society and insisted that the perpetrators face severe consequences.

The Bar Association has committed to providing legal assistance to the victim’s family and called for a thorough investigation into the incident.
