Kurnool: The Srisailam temple authorities are gearing up for the Mahashivaratri Brahmotsavam, scheduled from February 19 to March 1 at the Sri Bhramarambika Mallikarjuna Swamy Devasthanam. Executive Officer (EO) M. Srinivasa Rao has directed officials to complete all preparations by the first week of February, anticipating a significant influx of devotees.

During an inspection on Monday, the EO reviewed key areas such as Kailasadwaram, Hathakeswaram, and the queue complex. He stressed coordination with the forest department to clear wild vegetation along key routes and instructed the timely completion of gravel work, pandals, temporary sheds, drinking water facilities, and electrification.

The EO assured food donors of temple support at Kailasadwaram and announced anna prasadam during peak times. Medical camps will be set up in collaboration with the District Medical and Health Department.

To enhance devotees' experience, the horticulture wing will plant more sacred plants at Hathakeswaram, queue compartments will be repaired, additional toilets installed, and cleanliness strictly maintained. Functional water supply and upgraded seating in the queue complex were emphasized. LED screens will display spiritual programmes from Srisaila TV for devotees' comfort. Security measures are being strengthened to prevent stampedes, with police cooperation sought to ensure a safe and orderly Brahmotsavam.
