Man Found Dead During Pushpa 2 Screening in Anantapur Theatre
A 35-year-old man, Madhyanappa, was found dead under suspicious circumstances inside the Palace Cinema Theatre in Rayadurgam, Anantapur, during a screening of Pushpa 2. The incident occurred on Tuesday when Madhyanappa, reportedly intoxicated, went to watch the film and was found dead by the cleaning staff around 6 pm. Police suspect alcohol consumption inside the theatre contributed to his death.
The situation was made worse when the theatre continued the screening despite the fatality, sparking outrage from Madhyanappa's family, who confronted staff. The argument escalated, leading to police intervention. A case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing.
This tragedy follows another incident related to Pushpa 2 during its premiere in Hyderabad on December 4, where a stampede occurred, resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to her child. Following the incident, Allu Arjun pledged Rs 25 lakhs to the deceased woman's family. These incidents have raised concerns about safety measures and management responsibilities during high-profile film screenings.
