Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu informed the State Legislative Assembly on Friday that Andhra Pradesh government has a copy of the chargesheet filed in the case filed in the USA related to businessman Gautam Adani meeting Y.S. Jaga Mohan Reddy, former AP chief minister.

“State government is closely monitoring this issue. We are gathering more information ahead of responding appropriately. We are committed to ensuring that such acts are not repeated by others,” Chandrababu Naidu told members of the legislative assembly on the last day of its current session.

The assembly witnessed a heated discussion on the matter, with member after member of the ruling alliance parties criticising Jagan Mohan Reddy for his alleged corrupt deeds.

Telugu Desam MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary said the former chief minister has now become famous worldwide for his corruption. He demanded a thorough investigation into the crimes and irregularities committed by the YSRC president.

The Chief Minister accused Jagan Mohan Reddy of damaging Brand AP. “He repeatedly lies and deceives people. No political leader in history has made such mistakes,” he stated.

Chandrababu Naidu accused the bureaucracy of being weak in the past.

The AP CM asserted that the state government will continue moving forward with its short, medium and long-term development goals.

BJP MLA C. Adinarayana Reddy charged Jagan Mohan Reddy with earning ₹15 lakh crore 15 years ago. He said he does not know how much the former chief minister earns now. He demanded that Jagan be summoned to the house and investigated for his irregularities.

Mylavaram TD MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad said he would like to congratulate YSRC leaders for Jagan Mohan Reddy acquiring international reputation with a US court filing a chargesheet against him.

BJP legislative party leader P. Vishnu Kumar Raju declared that no matter which scam occurs in the world, the former chief minister’s name figures in it. And now, a chargesheet has been filed against Jagan Mohan Reddy in America. He demanded that Chandrababu Naidu take action against the former CM.
