Nellore MPs Donate Rs 1.5 Crore for AP, Telangana Flood Relief

Nellore: Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and his wife, Kovur MLA Vemireddy Prashanti Reddy, have donated Rs 1 crore for flood relief in Vijayawada. The couple presented their donation to Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in the presence of Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu.
Prabhakar Reddy expressed deep concern for the flood victims, stating, "People have lost their loved ones, belongings, and valuables. This calamity is unlike anything seen in a century." He praised the swift response of Nara Chandrababu Naidu-led NDA government and pledged continued support for restoration efforts.
In a separate gesture, former Nellore MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy announced a donation of `50 lakhs for flood relief in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. During a media conference in Nellore on Wednesday, Mekapati declared that Rs 25 lakhs would be allocated to each of the two states.
Mekapati urged everyone to generously support those affected by the floods. He called for collective efforts from YSRC members and the general public to assist the victims of this natural calamity. The former MP also emphasised the government's responsibility in providing aid to those impacted by the floods.
