Nellore’s Sanitation Crew Aids Vijayawada Flood Cleanup
Tirupati: A team of sanitation workers from the Nellore Municipal Corporation set out for Vijayawada on Wednesday to assist with cleanup operations in flood-affected areas.
The group, comprising 166 sanitation workers, 4 inspectors, 5 secretariat sanitation secretaries, and 10 supervisors, departed in five buses. The mission aims to support local efforts in maintaining hygiene and preventing health hazards in the aftermath of recent flooding.
The buses were flagged off from the local corporation office by Additional Commissioner Sharmada and Health Department official Dr. Chaitanya. Speaking to reporters, the Additional Commissioner said the deployment underscores the collaborative approach between different regions to address the pressing sanitation needs in Vijayawada's flood-impacted zones.
