Our aim is to create healthy, wealthy, happy Andhra Pradesh: Chandrababu Naidu
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that the goal of TDP coalition government is to create a healthy, wealthy and happy society.
He urged the people to understand that bright days are ahead for Andhra Pradesh because we have a say at the Centre.
At the same time, he took potshots at the previous government for taking the state retrograde.
He was speaking at a programme held to commemorate Potti Sriramulu's sacrifice in the creation of the state, at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada. The CM lauded Potti Sriramulu for sacrificing his life for realizing his purpose.
Sriramulu's sacrifice paved the way for the formation of language-based creation of states, including the Telugu state of Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu said that Nellore district was renamed as Potti Sriramulu district to imbue his inspiration among the people. Soon, a Telugu university would be developed with Potti Sriramulu's name in Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu also said that they have plans to take up development programme in Potti Sriramulu's native village.
He accused the previous government of destroying the dreams of Amaravati and Polavaram.
Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, TDP state president and minister K. Atchannaidu were also present at the programme.
