Vijayawada: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has announced the formation of Joint Task Force Committees at the district level to resolve land disputes and land-grabbing cases.

The announcement was made during the second day of the Collectors' Conference, which focused on the revenue department on Thursday.

Home Minister Anitha said a significant portion of the complaints received by her department related to land disputes. A joint effort by the revenue and home departments would be beneficial in resolving these issues, she felt.

In response, the chief minister directed the formation of the Joint Task Force committees, with district collectors, SPs, RDOs and DSPs as members, to handle land-related problems. The committees will address all land dispute issues.

Naidu made it clear that all those involved in any wrongdoing would face strict punishment. A sense of fear about facing the consequences should be instilled in everyone involved in land disputes, he said.

The chief minister also warned that any official involved in wrongdoing or creation of false documents will face disciplinary action. Naidu also ordered a review of all house pattas issued under the "Jagananna Illu" scheme and removal of ineligible beneficiaries.

Revenue Minister Anagani Sathya Prasad directed the collectors to carefully examine cases related to 22A lands. The 22A lands include not only endowment lands but also various other types of land and each case should be reviewed individually, he said.

He also suggested that an advocate be present during revenue meetings to resolve legal complaints promptly.

Minister Sathya Prasad stressed that the outcomes of Revenue Sadassulu should be issued in the form of speaking orders. Minister Anagani pointed out that issues related to crop and agricultural insurance in lands that have undergone re-survey need to be addressed. He urged collectors to resolve these problems as well.
