Pawan Hails Naidu’s Vision for the Future of AP
Vijayawada: In a fresh bout, five months after a co-habitation in government, Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan showered wholesome praise on Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Friday.
The occasion was the unveiling of the 'Swarna Andhra Vision 2047' document. PK described Naidu as a "great leader" who “acts as the guiding force in improving the lives of people.”
He said, “Chandrababu Naidu gives me a lot of respect. He does not move forward on any issue without consultation. I also want to observe his leadership style and patience closely and learn from him. Even in 2014, we supported him without expecting anything, saying that a great leader like Naidu was needed to move forward strongly in a divided Andhra Pradesh.”
“Now we feel it is a great fortune to work under his leadership. He and I will always work to fulfill the majority that the people have given us and their hopes. Even if I ask him to go ahead, he says let's walk together. I sincerely hope that everyone understands this and puts aside their differences and becomes a partner in the growth of the state,” he said.
Pawan Kalyan said the state was faced with a serious financial problem due to the wrong deeds of the previous government.
“It is sad that in some tribal villages in the state, patients and pregnant women are brought in ‘dolis’ due to lack of medical facilities in their hamlets. Recently, in a conference of collectors, officials said there are 2854 such villages in the state. Approximately Rs 3,000 crore is required for improving road facilities and medical facilities. But we have no funds.”
“The previous government emptied the treasury. It squandered Rs 500 crore for Rushikonda Palace and Rs 1200 crore for laying Jagananna survey stones. If we had those funds today, at least 1400 tribal villages would have been provided with road facilities and medical facilities.”
“We would provide road facilities to tribal villages in three phases,” he said.
The deputy CM said, “Goa is a great tourist destination. Half of the income of that state comes from tourism. Our state also has a vast coastline and resources that work wonders in better ways than Goa.”
Pawan said the people who ridiculed Chandrababu in 1994 when he spoke of his Vision 2020 were now happily buying plots in the Cyberabad area. “This Swarnandhra @ 2047 Vision Document was brought with the intention of developing the state in all sectors by 2047. Chandrababu is a visionary who can foresee a great future for AP. If we all work together for it, we can usher in a great future for the future generations,” he said.
