People From Anakapalle, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Arriving for PM’s Meeting
Vijayawada: The state administration on Tuesday reviewed the arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit here on Wednesday through a video conference from the state secretariat. Chief Secretary K Vijayanand issued necessary instructions to officials of the respective departments for the arrangements including the PM’s roadshow.
He said the Prime Minister would land here at 4.15pm and participate in the road show from 4.45pm to 5.30pm. After that, he will virtually lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several schemes.
The PM would address the gathering from 5.30pm to 6.45pm at the Andhra University Engineering College grounds. He would leave the venue at 6.50pm and take the flight from Visakhapatnam airport for Bhubaneswar at 7.15pm.
Modi would participate in various programmes here for about 3 hours. The roadshow will be from the Venkatadri Vantillu restaurant area to the meeting venue on the grounds of AU Engineering College. There, the PM will virtually lay the foundation stone for works such as the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone headquarters, the Green Hydrogen Hub in Pudimadaka, the Bulk Drug Park in Nakkapalli, the Krishnapatnam Industrial Node, the doubling of the Guntur-Bibinagar, and the Gutthi-Pendekallu railway lines.
Modi will dedicate the 6-lane bypass of Chilakaluripet on National Highway 16 to the nation and he will virtually inaugurate several national highways and railway lines, Vijayanand said.
As a large number of VIPs will be participating in the roadshow, Vijayanand has advised the Visakhapatnam district collector, police commissioner, municipal commissioner and other officials to allot spaces for the parking of their vehicles. Install adequate electric lights along the roadshow route and at the venue of the meeting, he said.
“There should be no disruption in power supply. The municipal administration should provide drinking water, arrange temporary toilets and other facilities for the people at the venue and parking areas.
People are being mobilized from Visakhapatnam and surrounding districts like Anakapalle, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam etc in buses and other vehicles for the event. Bring them safely and return them safely to their destinations, the CS told the officials.
Meanwhile, leaders of the NDA alliance, including home minister Vangalapudi Anitha, conducted a thorough inspection of the preparations at the AU ground ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's highly anticipated visit.
During the inspection, Anitha made several recommendations to local police chiefs to ensure a smooth and secure event. She emphasized the importance of effective traffic management and parking arrangements to accommodate the expected influx of attendees.
“Arrangements are progressing rapidly as Andhra Pradesh eagerly awaits the arrival of Prime Minister Modi,” Anitha stated.
