Plans to Make AP Logistics Hub for Eastern Coast: CM Naidu

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has unveiled ambitious plans to transform Andhra Pradesh into a $2 trillion economy by 2047. He announced plans to make the state a logistics hub for the eastern coast.

Naidu was speaking at a meeting with representatives from NITI Aayog on Tuesday. The discussions were mainly on the AP-2047 Vision document aimed at strategic development of the state in the coming decades. The CM proposed a comprehensive approach to policy-making, saying that efforts would span from macro to micro levels. District-wise Vision documents are being developed to guide the state’s economic growth over the next five years. Naidu said steps are being implemented to provide access to state-of-the-art medical services for all residents, alongside environmentally friendly development.

The Chief Minister explained the efforts to position Andhra Pradesh as a centre for industrial growth and renewable energy generation. “We also aim to make the state an international tourist destination, while transforming various cities into vibrant growth centres.”

Andhra Pradesh has the potential to be a high-value agricultural processing hub, he said, and expressed a commitment to enhancing youth skills in various industries, he said.
