Anantapur rural police have arrested Thippeswamy, a tractor driver from J. Venkatampalli, in connection with the murder of 21-year-old degree student Saritha. Thippeswamy, who was already married, had threatened Saritha under the guise of love and forced her into a relationship. According to Itikilapalli Inspector Hemanth Kumar, Thippeswamy abducted Saritha from a bus stop in Pampanur village and took her to a forest near Vaddipalli on Saturday. When she refused to marry him, he attacked and killed her with a hunting sickle before fleeing. The police tracked Thippeswamy’s mobile phone and apprehended him on Tuesday. Anantapur SP Jagadish praised the Itikilapalli police for their successful efforts in capturing the suspect.
