 Vijayawada: YSRC president and former chief minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed shock and grief over the loss of lives due to heavy rains across the state. He urged the state government to provide generous aid to families affected by these tragic events.

Jagan Mohan Reddy extended his deepest sympathies to the bereaved families and assured them of his unwavering support. In particular, he expressed sorrow over the loss of four lives in Vijayawada due to landslides and the tragic incident in Uppalapadu, Guntur district, where a teacher and two students lost their lives after their car was swept away by floodwaters. Additionally, he expressed sadness over the death of an elderly woman in Gandalayyapeta, Mangalagiri, due to another landslide.

He stressed the need for immediate and intensive relief efforts in the affected areas, particularly in and around Vijayawada where the situation remains critical. He called upon his party leaders and workers to actively support and stand by the victims during this challenging time.
