Provide medical services at patients' doorsteps using technology, Naidu advises AIIMS students

Amaravati: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu exhorted that medical students should use technology to enhance medical services. It will be possible to take medical services to the doorstep of the patients with the help of technology.

Naidu was speaking at the first convocation of Mangalagiri AIIMS.

Medical science has transformed into MedTech science. Students should try to gain grip on technological knowledge like the Deeptech for advancements in the sector.

He also urged students to draw inspiration from President Droupadi Murmu who rose to great heights despite being born in a remote and tribal village in Odisha. She began her career as a teacher, worked as a junior assistant, professor, councilor, chairperson, MLA, state minister, Governor and then emerged as the President.

Naidu reminded that he too hails from a small village but travelled with determination all along his career. He said that the state government has allocated 183 acres for AIIMS, like in no other state in the country. The AIIMS director asked for allocation of an additional 10 acres and it would be allocated at Kolanukonda.

The 960-bed capacity AIIMS was constructed with Rs 1,618 crore, he reminded and said he was happy that it has developed to win significant recognition in the medical sector.
