Ration Kits Distribution to Flood Victims From Today: Nadendla
VIJAYAWADA: Civil supplies, food and consumer affairs minister Nadendla Manohar informed that the state government will initiate the distribution of ration kits to people in the flood affected areas in Vijayawada from Friday. Manohar said that the government will provide 25 kgs of rice, one kg dal, one litre of cooking oil, two kgs of onions, two kgs of potatoes will be distributed to flood victims in 179 ward and three village secretariats in Vijayawada.
Speaking to media persons at the NTR district collectorate on Thursday, Manohar said that the relief kits will be provided to every flood-affected family and those who do not have a ration card the essential kits will be distributed through Aadhar card registration by entering their details in the EPOS machine.
Manohar announced that the oil gas companies such as IOCL, BPCL, HPCL have come forward to set up 12 free gas service centres in flood affected areas for the benefit of the victims.

Meanwhile Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan, who is down with viral, chaired a review meeting with the panchayat raj and rural development department officials to assess the ongoing flood relief measures in the flood-affected areas of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday. During the meeting, Pawan Kalyan directed the concerned officials to expedite sanitation work in areas where flood waters have receded and to undertake super chlorination and the supply of drinking water.
