Revenue Meetings to Resolve Land Issues: Minister Dola
Kurnool: The state government has launched revenue meetings to resolve land issues permanently, said social welfare minister Dr Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy. Participating in a revenue meeting in Vallur village of Prakasam district on Tuesday, the minister stated that errors that occurred in the survey process during the previous government’s tenure were causing significant difficulties for farmers.
He mentioned that the Land Titling Act has been repealed, as promised during the elections, to ensure that people retain ownership of their lands. To address these concerns, the government has started revenue meetings in every revenue village, bringing together officials from revenue, endowments, forest, survey and land records, and departments concerned to resolve disputes efficiently.
The minister added that 18,240 acres of freehold land has been registered in the district and several complaints have been received regarding irregularities. He further announced that the revenue minister and CCLA officials would attend the revenue meetings in Kondapi and Giddaluru constituencies in the first week of January.
The minister also inspected secretariat records.
Ongole revenue divisional officer Lakshmi Prasanna, mandal special officer and deputy director of social welfare Lakshma Nayak and other officials participated in the programme.
