Vijayawada: The NDA alliance government, led by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, is concentrating on resolving public grievances so that people remain a happier lot.

The focus on dealing with people’s issues appears to have stemmed from the experience of Naidu and N. Lokesh during their Praja Galam tours. Both used to receive numerous complaints from people. They have continued the habit they developed as opposition leaders even after becoming the Chief Minister and human resources minister respectively.

Not just that, word has gone around to TD ministers and legislators that they too receive complaints from people at their levels and resolve them.

Alliance partners in the government – Jana Sena and BJP – too have started this practise.

Ruling alliance partners are hoping that this exercise will keep people happy and will continue to support the TDP-JS-BJP grouping.

Naidu himself is visiting TD party’s central office to receive grievances from people. As far as Lokesh is concerned, he receiving grievances from public at his house in Undavalli every day. The programme had been a hit and nearly 50,000 grievances had been received in the initial 50 days.

As the rush had increasing abnormally, TD state president and MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao asked people to contact toll-free number 73062 99999 give their requests. Srinivasa Rao said such people will be given priority in meeting the CM.

On his part, Naidu has appointed ministers, legislators and leaders to receive grievances on a daily basis. They have been accordingly discharging their responsibilities. The majority of grievances are related to land disputes.

Following the rush of people, minister Lokesh has started a new mail ID hello.lokesh@ap.gov.in to receive grievances online, besides receiving various applications in person.

TD alliance partner Jana Sena headed by Pawan Kalyan has started the Janavani grievances programme at the JS head office in Mangalagiri, which became a mega hit, even causing difficulty in sorting out the complaints. Hence, JS has decided to conduct Janavani five days a week from Monday to Friday between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. JS ministers and MLAs are attending the Janavani programme and receiving grievances.
