Vijayawada: The Supreme Court has struck down a quash petition filed by former AP CID Additional SP Vijay Paul, seeking to revoke a police case against him regarding custodial torture of former MP and current Deputy Speaker of the AP Assembly, K. Raghu Rama Krishna Raju.
A two-judge division bench, comprising Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Prasanna B. Varale, held a hearing in New Delhi on Monday and announced its verdict. Earlier, Raju had filed a case against Vijay Paul, alleging that he was subjected to custodial torture after being taken into custody in connection with a case.
