Vijayawada: Security has been beefed up at the TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu’s residence at Undavali in Amravati in Guntur as a galaxy of leaders is thronging to meet him to extend congratulations to him following the party’s victory in the recently held Assembly elections.
Two Additional Superintendents of Police from Guntur are supervising security arrangements at Naidu’s residence. MPs, MLAs and other senior politicians and officials were allowed only after verifying details with the list available with them.
Meanwhile, officials in consultation with the senior TDP leaders are exploring three places in Amravati for organizing the swearing in ceremony of Naidu. Already the material and other paraphernalia required for putting up a stage and barricades reached Amravati in more than dozen vans.
Once the place is finalized, the workers would start making arrangements for the ceremony. As TDP leaders and cadres are expected to take part in large numbers in the ceremony, the administration is planning to make elaborate arrangements for the grand event.
