Six Arrested in Nellore Murder Case

Tirupati: The Balaji Nagar police have arrested six suspects in connection with a murder that occurred on August 26 , 2024 near the Ramalingapuram Underbridge in Nellore. The suspects, identified as Lakshmi Shetty Sai Teja (22), V. Venkatesh (29), A. Sujan Krishna (24), K. Vamsi Krishna (23), T. Pawan Kumar (25), and M. Narayana (26), have been linked to the killing of Gunji Ravi.

City DSP D. Srinivasa Reddy revealed at a press conference on Thursday that both the victim and the accused were habitual offenders with extensive criminal records. The altercation began on the night of August 25 between Ravi and Sujan. Sai Teja had previously clashed with Ravi over derogatory comments about Teja's wife.

“Fearing retaliation from Ravi, the group planned his murder. Early on August 26, they ambushed Ravi near Garib Biryani Shop at the Ramalingapuram Underbridge, fatally stabbing him before fleeing on motorcycles,” DSP Reddy said.
