Anantapur:Pulivendula police visited the residence of Raghava Reddy, the personal assistant to Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy, over his alleged ties to Varra Ravindra Reddy, a social media activist from Pulivendula. The police arrived at Raghava Reddy's house on Saturday but were unable to find him. They instructed his father to appear before them instead.

The police action followed reports of Raghava Reddy's close association with Ravindra Reddy, who has been detained and reportedly subjected to third-degree interrogation at DTC Kadapa. The sudden police visit has caused concern among family members, who alleged harassment.

YS Avinash Reddy condemned the police's actions, calling it "terrorizing" and accusing them of damaging property in the house during the late-night visit. He further stated that Raghava Reddy had regular contact with Pulivendula police and had no history of criminal activity.

YSRC spokesperson Rachamallu Sivaprasada Reddy demanded that Ravindra Reddy be produced before a court, citing concerns over his safety due to the treatment he received in police custody. He also expressed worry that TDP-friendly media and the police’s involvement in Ravindra Reddy’s case suggested a conspiracy against the activist.
