Tirumala: TTD EO Shyamala Rao stated that several measures have been implemented to improve the cleanliness and overall experience for devotees. Speaking to the media persons in Tirumala, he mentioned that the programs are being organized to maintain the sanctity of the temple, and efforts are being made to make the visit to Tirumala memorable for every devotee.
"We have improved the quality of Anna Prasadam and Laddu Prasadam, and reduced the waiting time for devotees in queues. The Brahmotsavams have been organized on a grand scale, and special attention has been given to cleanliness in Tirumala," said Rao. "Many programs are being planned as part of the 2047 Tirumala Vision. We will provide spiritual names to 20 houses in the guest houses built by donors. The facilities on the Alipiri walking path and parking facilities in Tirumala are also being enhanced."
Rao added that legal action will be taken against the transfer of non-religious employees, and strict measures will be implemented to curb the unauthorized shops in Tirumala. "We are using pure ghee for Laddu Prasadam, and there are 61 affiliated temples of TTD across the country. There is a need for development through consultancy for these temples," he said.
Addressing other issues, Rao acknowledged the parking problems at the Padmavati Ammavari temple and the increased number of devotees visiting Akasha Ganga and Papa Vinasanam Tirthas. He emphasized the need for development in these areas. He also mentioned that there were shortcomings in the TTD Hindu Dharma Prachar Parishad department, but a committee is being set up to address these issues.
"TTD vigilance officers have been working effectively over the last six months, catching individuals who cheat devotees by promising darshan tickets," concluded Shyamala Rao.
