Vijayawada: Narreddy Sunitha, daughter of Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, made a surprise visit to the AP Assembly on Tuesday. Sunitha visited the Assembly moments before Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu arrived.
Sunitha reportedly went to the CMO and enquired with officials about the progress of the investigation into Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case.
Sunitha’s visit to the Chief Minister’s Office assumed significance as the Supreme Court on Tuesday heard a petition to quash criminal proceedings against her and a CBI official, involved in the murder investigation, sought responses from the AP police in this regard.
Additionally, the apex court, which heard a separate petition challenging the bail granted to Sunitha’s cousin and Kadapa MP Y.S. Avinash Reddy who is accused in Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case by the Telangana High Court, has issued notices to Avinash Reddy.
