SVIMS declares OP holiday on Vinayaka Chavithi

Tirupati: Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Tirupati, has declared a holiday for outpatient (OP) and operation theatre (OT) services on September 7 in observance of the Ganesha festival.

Director and vice-chancellor of SVIMS Dr R.V. Kumar announced on Thursday that emergency services will continue as usual. He mentioned that this closure will affect routine appointments and scheduled surgeries, but it ensures that staff can participate in the festival while maintaining essential emergency care for those in need.
