Take steps to curb food adulteration: JJS
Visakhapatnam:Members of the Jana Jagarana Samiti (JJS), a social organisation, staged a protest on Wednesday, urging the state government to take steps to curb food adulteration in hotels. Gathering at the Telugu Talli statue in Visakhapatnam, they also called on the ruling government to discuss the issue in the Assembly.
Vasu, the state convener of JJS, stated, “Sellers of adulterated food are more dangerous than terrorists,” emphasising the severe health risks associated with consuming such food, including illnesses like cancer. The organization demanded immediate government action to protect the public, including the removal of ineffective food safety officers who fail to conduct thorough inspections.
