Visakhapatnam:Former Minister Gudivada Amarnath criticised Telugu Desam leader Nara Lokesh for making misleading claims and taking credit for development projects initiated by the YSRCP government.

Speaking to the media on Monday, Amarnath stated that all the projects to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Andhra Pradesh were sanctioned and initiated under the leadership of former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Refuting Lokesh’s claims, Amarnath accused the TD of attempting to claim credit for projects such as the Bulk Drug Park, Bhogapuram Airport, and IT development in Vizag, all of which he attributed to the Jagan government’s efforts.

"The R&D Center for Kidney Diseases in Srikakulam, Mulapeta Port, and the allocation of 1,300 acres for the Green Hydrogen Project stand as evidence of our commitment to the development of North Andhra," Amarnath said.

He further highlighted key initiatives undertaken by the Jagan-led government, including the allocation of 52 acres for the Railway Zone, clearing `50,000 crore in pending dues left by the previous TD government, and establishing 17 new medical colleges.
