Telugu Desam, Congress, and BRS Leaders Attend Court Hearing The Special Court for Public Representatives in Vijayawada adjourned the hearing of the case filed against those who inspected illegal mining at the Obulapuram Iron Ore Mines in United Andhra Pradesh on July 21, 2007, to January 8 next year.  Vijayawada: Telugu Desam, Congress, and BRS Leaders Attend Court Hearing The Special Court for Public Representatives in Vijayawada adjourned the hearing of the case filed against those who inspected illegal mining at the Obulapuram Iron Ore Mines in United Andhra Pradesh on July 21, 2007, to January 8 next year. A case was registered against 21 individuals, three of whom passed away during the investigation. Following the Magistrate's earlier directions, all remaining accused appeared for the hearing on Tuesday.

Prominent leaders from Telugu Desam, Congress, and BRS, including current ministers and former public representatives from AP and Telangana, attended the hearing. These leaders, who were once part of the TD, had gone to inspect the mines during the TD-Congress regime. Subsequently, the police filed a case against them.

Among those who appeared before the Special Court Magistrate were Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu, former ministers Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, Nimmakayala China Rajappa, and others. Telangana Chief Minister Advisor Vem Narendra Reddy was also present. The accused leaders claimed that the charges were baseless, stating that they had committed no crime. They expressed confidence in the court’s fairness and expected justice to prevail.
