Three Schools Win 2024 Kreeda Prathibha Awards in AP

Vijayawada: The 2024 School of Sports Excellence (SSE) awards, popular as Kreeda Prathibha Awards, have been announced on Tuesday.

Kadapa Municipal Corporation High School, Zilla Parishad High School at Nunna in Vijayawada Rural mandal of NTR district and AMG High School at Chikalakaluripeta in Palnadu district have bagged the first, second and third places respectively in the state.

Director of School Education (DSE) V Vijaya Rama Raju announced the Kreeda Prathibha awards. These are based on completion of a scrutiny of results following the district and state-level sports competitions held during 2024 by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI), Andhra Pradesh unit.

The awards will be presented on the National Sports Day celebrated annually on August 29, the birth anniversary of legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand.

School Education department has directed all district educational officers (DEOs) to organise the National Sports Day on Thursday, August 29.

DSE Rama Raju said the awards will be presented by the respective district collectors.

130 schools in AP get sports excellence awards

Total 130 schools in 26 districts of the AP State will be presented Kreeda Prathibha awards on Thursday, August 29, for excelling in sports during competitions held at the district and state levels.
