Tirupati Police Crack Down on Drunk Driving, 33 Offenders Fined Rs 3.3 Lakh

Tirupati:Tirupati district police have intensified their crackdown on traffic rule violations, particularly on drunk driving.

According to Traffic DSP Ramakrishna Chari, 33 individuals were caught driving under the influence of alcohol during a special drive conducted on Sunday, following the directions of District SP L. Subbarayudu.

The traffic violators were presented before the 4th Additional Judicial Magistrate Court in Tirupati on Monday. Judge Grandhi Srinivas imposed a fine of ₹10,000 on each offender, totaling ₹3.3 lakh.

SP Subbarayudu praised the efforts of the Tirupati Traffic Police and urged them to continue their dedicated work to prevent traffic violations in the city. Residents were also warned of stringent action against any future violations of traffic rules.
