Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has strongly condemned viral reports over social media about changes being made in preparation of Annaprasadam at Lord Venkateswara Temple.

The reports alleged that TTD has decided to stop using organic rice for Annaprasadam and will be reverting to regular rice instead.

TTD officials categorically denied this report, saying it is absolutely false.

Incidentally, TTD executive officer J. Syamala Rao had recently held a meeting with priests and temple authorities to discuss issues related to Annaprasadam. However, no decision had been taken regarding changes in preparation or increasing the quantity (Dittam) of Annaprasadam, a statement released by TTD said on Wednesday.

TTD administration has appealed to devotees not to believe or spread such false news. It requested public to only rely on official communications from the temple administration for accurate information about the shrine’s practices and policies.
