Visakhapatnam Bar Association Refuses Bail Representation for Gang Rape Accused

Visakhaptnam: Visakhapatnam Bar Association members said on Friday that none of its members would represent the accused in bail proceedings of the accused in the gang rape case and demanded justice for the victim, a law student. Association president Bevara Satyanarayana requested the government and the police to take stringent measures to prevent such atrocities against women.

The association members staged a protest outside the district court. “This heinous crime against a law student is not just unfortunate, but a matter of grave concern. Women deserve respect and safety in our society,” said Satyanarayana.

The association has committed to providing legal assistance to the victim’s family and called for a thorough investigation into the incident.
