Visakhapatnam Ramping Up Adventure Tourism With New Attractions

 Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam is set to transform into an adventure tourism hotspot with a series of new exciting activities to give visitors an adrenaline-pumping experience.

A new paragliding activity is making its debut at Rushikonda Beach, offering participants a breath-taking aerial view.

"We have extensive experience in adventure sports, with five adventure specialists operating in the field for 15 years now,” Umang, an adventure operator from Gujarat, told Deccan Chronicle.

The activity has received necessary permissions from the Tourism Council as well as the district collector.

In addition to paragliding, scuba diving will also resume in Visakhapatnam after being temporarily halted due to adverse weather conditions. Balaram Naidu, a scuba diving instructor, said the diving sessions will include video and photo documentation of the dive.

Significantly, the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) too is transforming Kailasagiri into a comprehensive adventure zone, featuring an impressive array of attractions designed to captivate visitors. Zip line and sky cycling are already in operation. A glass bridge is expected to be completed within the next six months.

Complementing these adventure sports will be 20 nature cottages, a revolving restaurant, a beach view cafe, and two exclusive view decks that promise awesome panoramic views.
