Vizag leaders gear up to welcome PM on Wednesday

Visakhapatnam: A grand welcome awaits Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his visit to Visakhapatnam on January 8, Wednesday, to inaugurate several projects as part of the initiatives of the TD-led state government.

Telugu Desam state president and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao convened a coordination committee meeting of his party, the JS and the BJP here on Monday to ensure maximum public presence for the PM’s meeting.

Palla said an estimated three lakh persons would be mobilized for the public meeting that would be addressed by Modi.

Five committees have been set up for effective coordination vis-à-vis thee Prime Minister’s welcome at the airport, his roadshow, public meeting and farewell activities.

Ministers Kinjarapu Atchannaidu and Satya Kumar Yadav, Parliament members CM Ramesh and Sribharat, MLAs Vishnu Kumar Raju and Nallamilli Radhakrishna, MLC Duvvarapu Rama Rao, former MLC Satyanarayana Raju and VMRDA chairman Pranav Gopal were present.
