Vizag Navy Marathon Attracts Thousands to Beach Road

 Visakhapatnam: The ninth edition of the Vizag Navy Marathon transformed the scenic beach road into a vibrant celebration of fitness and community spirit, attracting approximately 14,000 participants, including international runners from 8 countries.

Participants had the option to choose from various race categories, a full marathon (42km), a half marathon (21km), and shorter runs of 10km and 5km. The scenic route offered breathtaking views from the RK Beach, Rushikonda, Yendada and Bheemli, making it a memorable experience.

The marathon boasted an attractive prize pool of approximately Rs 10 lakh, which were distributed among the winners across different categories. The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including district collector Harendhira Prasad, police commissioner Sankabrata Bagchi, GVMC commissioner Sampath Kumar and VMRDA commissioner K Viswanathan.
