Four persons killed in a car accident in Vizianagaram.

Vizianagaram: In a tragic incident near Polipalli village in Bhogapuram of Vizianagaram district, a car traveling from Srikakulam to Visakhapatnam lost control and veered off the road, and overturned. The car was hit by an oncoming lorry resulting in the death of all four persons on the spot.

The lorry driver sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Police and emergency teams arrived at the scene and initiated rescue operations.

According to Bhogapuram circle inspector NV. Prabhakar, the four victims were residents of Srikakulam town heading to Visakhapatnam. As they approached Polipalli village, a tire burst caused the driver to lose control, leading the car to tumble into oncoming traffic. The deceased have been identified as G. Kowshik, a gold trader, Vadde Abhinav, and his wife Manimala, who operate a medical lab. They were traveling in Kowshik's car to attend a bank exam. The driver, Jayesh, also died in the incident.

Tragically, three occupants died at the scene, while the fourth succumbed to injuries during transport to a hospital. The driver and a cleaner from the truck were reported to be in stable condition at a local hospital.
