Visakhapatnam: The Vizianagaram district police have dismantled a Ganja smuggling ring, leading to the arrest of 10 individuals, including four juveniles. The operation, led by district superintendent of police (SP) Vakul Jindal, resulted in the seizure of 24 kilograms of Ganja, a motorcycle, and Rs 1,390 in cash. The suspects were apprehended following a planned raid by the Vizianagaram One Town police on Wednesday.

Among those arrested, two were identified as repeat offenders with a history of criminal activities. The police have initiated procedures to establish criminal records for all the accused.

In addition to the Ganja case, the police have also linked the accused to several thefts within the district. Three motorcycles were stolen within the limits of Vizianagaram One Town police station, a mobile phone was stolen from a lorry driver at KL Puram, and another motorcycle was stolen in the Vizianagaram II Town police station and Bheemili police station. The police have recovered the stolen motorcycles and mobile phone from the accused.
