Youth killed in a dispute over bus seat
Kurnool: A twenty-year-old youth from Krishnapuram has been stabbed to death following a dispute over a bus seat on Sunday. The deceased was Sk Murtuja Khadar Vali of Krishnapuram.
Police said Farooq of Kurukunda and Murtuja Vali had a fight over an attempt to occupy a seat close to the driver in a bus that was on its way to Atmakur from Hyderabad on Sunday.
Subsequently, Farooq challenged Murtuja Vali to come to Kurukunda village. Murtuja Vali decided to go to the village and face Farooq. A few of his friends accompanied him to Kurukunda the next day. Around 10.30pm, the two sides met there.
Farooq was alone. The two sides started arguing. In a fit of rage, Farooq stabbed Khadar Vali in his chest with a sharp knife that dug 12cm deep. Friends of Murtuja Vali, in a state of shock, took Khadar Vali to their town for hospitalization, police said.
The doctors there declared he was 'brought dead'. Based on a complaint from Khader Vali's father Malik, a case has been registered and an investigation started. Police said Farooq would be arrested soon.
