AP: YSRC leader hacked to death at Madanapalle

Anantapur: Rivals hacked to death YSRC leader Punganur Seshadri at his home in Madanapalle town of Annamayya district in the early hours of Saturday.
Doctors performing post-mortem noticed nearly 70 stab wounds on his body. A realtor, Seshadri resided in Srivari Nagar area of Madanapalle town.
Sources said about 30 men forced their entry into YSRC leader’s house during the wee hours of Saturday. They attacked Seshadri with knives and hunting sickles despite his wife’s pleadings. Seshadri died on the spot.
Police shifted Seshadri’s body to Madanapalle Hospital for post-mortem. They suspect the murder is due to land-related issues. His rivals hatched a plan to eliminate Seshadri with hired assassins.
Madanapalle police have registered a case based on a complaint by the wife of the YSRC leader. They are verifying CC camera footage in the vicinity and the colony.
