Kakinada: Water resources minister Nimmala Rama Naidu alleged that the previous government mortgaged houses belonging to women under a housing scheme for Rs 5,000 crores, resulting in a burden of `5 lakh to `6 lakh for each beneficiary. He donated a vehicle to residents of the NTR TIDCO housing colony at Palakollu on Sunday under the financial assistance of the Dharma Rao Foundation. He stated that the TD government completed 90 percent of TIDCO houses from 2014 to 2019, while the subsequent YSRC government has not completed even 10 percent of the works. In a meeting at Vaddiparru village in Poduru Mandal, Rama Naidu emphasised that the NDA aims to establish "Grama Swaraj," providing double-engine growth governance without any scarcity of funds to develop villages.

In another meeting at Palakollu, he called upon the TD, BJP, and Jana Sena cadres to ensure the election of the NDA candidate in the MLC Graduates Constituency, Perabathula Rajasekhar, by a substantial majority.
