YSRC stages Rythu Poru protests all over AP

VIJAYAWADA: YSR Congress rank and file staged rallies and protests throughout Andhra Pradesh on Friday in support of farmers demanding a fair price for paddy.
Incidentally, the opposition party’s protest coincided with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s launch of the Swarna Andhra Vision @2047 document in Vijayawada.
YSRC president and former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy declared on X, “The first salvo fired by farmers against the coalition government for its failure to address their issues has been successful.” He tweeted that farmers have taken a bold step against the Chandrababu Naidu government for its injustice and corruption.

In Srikakulam, prominent leaders Piriya Vijaya and Dr. Seediri Appalaraju led the rally. They proceeded from Jyotirao Phule Park to the Collectorate and submitted a memorandum. In Parvathipuram Manyam, YSRC leaders Pushpa Srivani and Palavalasa Vikrant spearheaded a rally to the Collectorate. In Vizianagaram, district president Majji Srinivasa Rao, along with leaders Botsa Appalanarsayya and Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swami took out a procession from the Cantonment to the Collectorate.
In Visakhapatnam, farmers and YSRC workers headed by Gudivada Amarnath and Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar proceeded from ZP Junction Krishna Mandiram to the Collectorate. Prominent figures like former Rajahmundry MP Margani Bharat and Jakkampudi Raja led a procession in East Godavari district. It showcased the district’s strong support for YSRC’s initiative.
In Vijawada and Guntur, former minister Ambati Rambabu led a massive procession from Dharna Chowk to the Collectorate. MLC Murugudu Hanumantha Rao and Modugula Venugopala Reddy participated in the protest.
The rally in Krishna district at Machilipatnam witnessed leaders including Simhadri Ramesh (Avanigadda) and Devabhaktuni Chakravarti (Penamaluru). Former MLA S.V. Mohan Reddy and MLA Bala Nagi Reddy led a procession in Kurnool. In Nellore, former minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy led a rally in which former MLA Ramireddy Pratap Kumar Reddy and MLC Parvatareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy participated.
