AP BJP Yet to Elect its Legislature Party Leader

Vijayawada: The AP BJP is yet to elect its legislature party leader. The party has won eight MLAs in the recently held polls.

BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari discussed with all the eight MLAs-elect to find out a consensual candidate to be declared as the leader. As there was no consensus, the party has decided to leave the matter to the BJP’s national leadership.

Sources say that the AP BJP is expecting two ministers in the upcoming NDA’s government led by Chandrababu Naidu. In addition to it, one MLA-elect to be declared as the leader of the BJP Legislature Party and another MLA-elect to be declared as the party chief whip.
