AP: Former Deputy CM Alla Nani Quits YSRC
Kakinada: Former deputy chief minister Alla Kalikrishna Srinivas (Nani) has resigned from the YSR Congress Party, even as the YSRC office had been demolished in Eluru.
Nani told media in Eluru on Saturday, that he is resigning from YSRC for personal reasons.
On the demolition of the YSRC office in Eluru, the former deputy CM clarified that the office site belonged to his friend Ravichandra, who is in the US. Ravichandra had given the site for YSRC office on a two-year lease in 2017.
Last year, Ravichandra wanted his site returned. But due to elections, YSRC regional coordinator P. Mithun Reddy requested him to let the party continue its office on the site.
Nani said YSRC returned the site to Ravichandra 15 days ago. Ravichandra now wants to give the site for development. Accordingly, the YSRC office on the land has been demolished.
There are speculations that the former deputy chief minister may join the BJP.
