Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Authority’s (RTA) employees across the state will pen down on Friday in protest against the manhandling of joint transport commissioner C. Ramesh by auto rickshaw union secretary Amanullah Khan.

The Panjagutta police lodged a case against the assaulter Amanullah Khan, the transport department employees at RTA Khairatabad staged a protest. The union leaders of the transport department have demanded immediate arrest of Amanullah Khan.

Condemning the attack, transport minister Ponnam Prabhakar said, “If there is a problem, he should have lodged a complaint, but such attacks on officials is intolerable. I will stand by the employees as the minister of transport.”

“I spoke to police officials about the attack. An action will be taken against the attacker. I ask the employees not to get discouraged,” he said.
