Hyderabad: The council meeting of the GHMC will be held after a gap of five months on July 6, whereas the norms are that the meeting should be held every three months.

In the ensuing council meeting, 12 proposals will be discussed and placed, including GIS-based survey and mapping of properties, proposal seeking administrative sanction for construction of Moosarambagh bridge on Musi River and constitution of two ad hoc committees to probe irregularities in sanitation and advertisement wings of the corporation. Also on the agenda are the repair and rehabilitation measures of road overbridge (ROB) at Begumpet railway station costing `20 crore and restoration of the Ramakrishnapuram ROB.

The other major proposal includes approval of revised estimates for the construction of multilevel flyover at LB Nagar Junction. While the initial construction amount was `448 crore, the revised estimate stands at `515 crore.

In addition to these works, junction improvements will also be proposed at Rahmathnagar, Vengalraonagar and IS Sadan.

"Although the proposals were given the nod by the standing committee, it is only after the council’s approval that the works will be executed," said a GHMC official.
